Western Canada Husky Snow Stars Grade Two Fun Pass Costs $10
If you live in Western Canada and have young children who want to ski and snowboard, you're in luck if they are in Grade 2 this year. They can ski all season for $10.
Some of the best skiing in the world is in the mountains of Western Canada. Thanks to a program supported by Husky Energy, children from Western Canada in Grade 2 can get season passes, good at four resorts for the entire 2007-2008 ski and snowboard season, for only $10.
The pass described here is good for skiing and snowboarding at four of the resorts operated by RCR - Resorts of the Canadian Rockies:
- Lake Louise Mountain Resort
- Fernie Alpine Resort
- Kimberley Alpine Resort
- Nakiska
Offered to Children in Grade 2 or Born in 2000
The Husky Snow Stars Grade 2 Fun Pass is a ski pass for children who are in grade 2, or of grade 2 age. For the 2007-2008 winter season, this means children who are in grade 2 during the ski season, or who were born in the year 2000.
How to Get the Fun Pass
To apply for the pass, a parent or guardian first needs to fill out an application form available either:
- by downloading from the RCR website or
- picking up a blank form from the RCR office in Calgary at
- Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, 1505 - 17th Avenue SW, Calgary.

Take the form and the child to get the child's picture taken, either at the RCR office in Calgary (same address as above), or at any one of the four participating ski resorts.
Make sure to have the necessary document to prove the child is eligible.
This can be one of:
- birth certificate (showing the child was born in the year 2000, for the ski season 2007-2008) or
- current Grade 2 report card from the fall term or
- Grade 1 report card from last year.
The parent or guardian also has to fill out a liability form.

This offer is open only to residents of Western Canada, and costs $10.00 per child for processing. For a full season pass to these resorts, this is a great value. It costs less than a one-day ticket.
