School vacation? Go skiing! Ski areas in southern Vermont offer great skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile tours and ice skating. Factory outlets, gourmet dining and more.

Located in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont, these ski resorts are nestled between Brattleboro, Bennington, Manchester and White River Junction. They are within driving distance from Burlington, Boston and New York. The downside is, none of them are right off the highway, which means the ride in will be beautiful but remote. A wide variety of budget to luxury accommodations offers guests a comfortable base of operations. They include trailside condos, lakeside lodges, multi-room suites, studios and hotel rooms. School vacations are a fun time to take the family skiing, but be aware that these resorts fill up fast this

time of year. Make reservations early. The slopes can be crowded and the lift lines long. Consider going midweek or after the kids go back to school.
